Jammu:Disrupting the speech of the governor, Opposition led by congress staged protest against government accusing it of killing the spirit of democracy in the state before staging walk-out. Independent legislator from Langate- er Abdur Rasheed today staged a protest demonstration outside assembly hall in support of plebiscite ahead of joint session of assembly-2018. Soon after the national anthem, opposition created ruckus and delayed governor address in support of demand of Restoration of Panchayati Raj in the state.

Opposition led by national conference and Congress raised anti government slogans and raised banners, including black banners written with various slogans. National conference legislator- Abdul Majeed Larmi today demanded plebiscite in the state. As soon as the governor started his speech, Larmi raising black banner demanded plebiscite and accused the government of killing the spirit of democracy.
